Thanks to everyone who replied to my query about "vintage" shoes. It was a great learning experience. I had never given thought to vintage shoes before. I have looked at and admired a few vintage jerseys, but that was the extent of my exploring this intriguing facet of classic bicycles.
I am in looking to buy a pair of shoes, I am looking for leather, do not necessarily have to be black, size 9.5US - 6.5UK - 43EUR - 27.5CM - that is the current size shoe I am wearing. Also I am looking for a set of those leather TA cleats that Charlie Young referred me too, if not to buy, at least a series of very good photos and some measurement if possible to make a set or two for myself.
