I tried the archives, found some inquiries on this but no answers.

Is there any way to date an Olmo frameset by serial number? I just acquired a repainted OLMO. Serial number is 0758 and is stamped just below the seat coller between the seat-stays.

This Olmo looks to be a DeLuxe or Special model from circa 1960. Any thoughts on that are welcome.

Frame has Campagnolo dropouts, rear right with spring hole. Apparently original components include early Record hubs (no "record" on the hub shell) with 60 on the locknuts. Also Campagnolo Gran Sport derailleurs and shifters, nice Ambrosio Champion alloy stem, Brooks B17 competition narrow with chrome rails. Other components were a hodge podge of newer stuff. Prior owner said it had Magistroni cranks, he remembered Weinmann brakes and a steel pillar.

Thanks for looking.
