Jerry is right that Marguerite Wilson is largely forgotten in the UK. I read an article about her in the 1960s, probably in Sporting Cyclist. She was a real looker and I dont feel the photos posted do her justice. I've studied my RTTC handbook and I cant make sense of the womens records. The earliest I can find is the 12 hour team in 1934 yet Marguerite Wilson is the first holder of the 12 hour individual with 215 miles in 1939. Maybe Mick can explain. Of course before Beryl Burton was Eileen Sheridan who wiped all Marguerite Wilson's records off the books. She is still alive and well. Ray green, Brighton, England
