Dear All, There are three very interesting frames on ebay at the moment which are of unusual and unorthodox design. They are a tandem which I think is a James Arrow Ace Convertible Touring Tandem. These James tandems were of very high quality and easily converted from a double gents to a ladyback, great novel idea for a family machine. These date from the late 30's through to the early 1950's. The next is a Trevor Jarvis Flying Gate a very old 1930's design brought up to date by this wonderful builder. This design works especially well in larger frame sizes whereas the Paris Galibier and Hetchin's do not both of these are get noticeably whippy in 23.5" and above sizes. Another great and unusual design in all frame sizes which works exceptionally well is the Bates with Cantiflex tubing and Diadrant forks. Those of us of a certain age can well remember all the cracks riding these Bates too numerous victories especially Cycril Peacock and Stan Butler. For those of you who prefer the orthodox there is a great Stallard. Yors fraternally frank
