I just bought Morgan Morgan Fletcher's Schwinn Volare, which he outed here a few days ago. Japanese-built, but full 531, with the original Dura Ace gruppo.
I frankly never heard of these before. Sounds like a very similar story to the World Voyageur, except that one was Japanese tubing. Anyone know who actually built these bikes? Were there other high-end Schwinns built in Japan In the Day? The Volare is a bit unusual simply in that there can't have been that many 531 frames built in Japan.
