A few questions about this Bianchi Specialissima:

The fork & headtube are painted black, well-enough that they appear original, so I'm wondering if it's the 1987 on Sheldon's site:

"In 1987 an Argentin 'commemorative' bike was available on a limited basis. It was the top of the line Bianchi for 1987-88. It is also sometimes called a Specialissima X-4 and was equipped with early Campy C-record and Campy Colbalto brakes. Columbus SLX tubing. Lots of custom engraving included the head tube emblem, fork crown, seat stays, lugs had a "B" cutout; the rear brake-bridge was engraved with an "X-4". Black chromed (or painted) head tube, fork, rear stays - Celeste everywhere else. They were not found in any US Bianchi Catalogues, and they retailed at about $2075."

My Bianchi Specialissima has the chromed frame, word 'Specialissima on left stay, chrome seat tube ends, Super Record with pantographed big-ring, & blue-lined channels in the brake calipers. (sorry no pic of brakes). No X-4 on rear brake bridge, (but something; looks like Columbus dove & script...my eyes really ARE getting worse).

I can post better pix soon; these are from the day I brought it home.
