Mark Buswell wrot: """ This is a follow-up to a 'want to buy' posting I put out to the list in January regarding the elusive Cinelli 'City' or 'Upright' bars. So I'm reopening this can of worms in hopes that someone has picked these up somewhere or someone has decided that they just darn don't need them anymore. """

I sez:

I have a set (mine mine mine mine) but I did get them from someone who lived in pittsburg and said that Krayniks shop had a whole pile of them. They are pretty nice for your classic ride, but it is silly to have 26.4 diameter flat bars and they are really narrow for my taste, but they do look nice. So see if you can coordinate with a pittsburg dwelling CR'r.

Other people mentioned more modern interpretations. Yet another one are thesycip javaboy bars for a slick simple city bar that works with pretty much any stem appropriately shimmed: http://www.sycip.com/components.html at the bottom.

See them here in action: http://www.tariksaleh.com/beakham.html wide wide wide, look good on city and porteuresque bikes in my opinion.

Good luck

Tarik
