I've agreed to ebay a Bob Jackson for a friend. When composing the ad I'd like to provide a year of manufacture, but cannot find a serial number in any of the usual spots. And while the decals and first generation Chorus components help me ID the era, I don't think the latter include date codes on hub cones, crank, or rear derailleur.
Do mid- to late-80s custom Jacksons have date stamps anywhere? Steerer tube, perhaps?
