Subject: [CR]H. R. Daycock Frames

Hi group, I am a new member with a question regarding a frame and fork recently purchased on Ebay. It is a H. R. Daycock , # 1312 stamped on steer tube and B.B.shell {faintly}. It is built with Nervex lugs , Campy long dropouts at rear, plain on front{I thought at first frame and fork were a mismatch ,but both are stamped with corresponding numbers} . Round section fork blades, and bronze original paint with a light blue head tube accent. It sounds very similar to a Daycock frame and fork offered by Peter Paine in late 2004. Peter if you are out there can you confirm or deny? Can anyone supply any info on Daycock? I am a 47 year old Marine Engineer living in the Vancouver Canada region. I have been an recreational cyclist since my youth ,and now due to the marvel of Ebay etc have acquired a couple of vintage projects to keep myself busy {and broke}. I own a 1970 ish Dawes , my regular rider since 1978, a late 60's Claude Butler , a recently acquired 1948 Hobbs , and the Daycock. Thanks for any help. Greg Lone Langley B.C. Canada
