My son, who does not drive, has never driven, and shows no interest in driving has just graduated from college and gotten a very nice job with the University of Washington in Seattle and will soon be moving out there. The last time I was in Seattle was in 1960, so I'm not much help to him. His bicycle (marginally off-topic mid-80s Cannondale road bike) will be his primary form of transportation. Fortunately, Seattle does appear to be pretty bicycle friendly.
Any Seattle residents or cognisanti out there who can suggest decent bike shops he can use in the U. Wash. area? I'm thinking full fenders will be a good idea; correct me if I'm wrong. How much of a problem is theft? Etc...
