I use 4 rolls of tape and start at the ends and work up. If you're shellacing the tape and want it to stay white put a coat of pigmented shellac on first, then clear. Make sure it's clear and not amber or orange. Although orange on white tape might look good on the International. The shellac will stick the end by the stem quite well but if it starts to come loose use a bit of white carpenter's glue. To aviod wrinkles pull it tight as you go. Good luck.
