Rita, I think a Legnano database is a worthwhile pursuit and perhaps there are enough Legnano owners on the CR list to help clarify the mystery of Legnano serial numbers.

Here is what I have: Roma Olimpiade road FL2283, estimated to be 63-66 Roma Olimpiade pista EU7638, mid to late 60's Anybody else care to log in with their Legnano info...we know you're out there.
