There's an interesting kind of demontable bike on german ebay: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5129397019 Winora was one of the larger german bicycle companies in the 80s. This foldable bike appeared in several bicycle publications but was not a commercial success. It has foldable chain stays, Bi-Valent-like removable wheels, and removable pedals.

No relation to seller, and yes, I too think that it's too expensive.
