Subject: [CR]Best Chain Chain Chain/Freewheel for Vintage Riders

Hi Emanuel, In my opinion, the best contemporary chain/freewheel combination for vintage bikes is the SRAM PC58 (typically referred to as their 8 speed chain) combined with a SRAM freewheel. I also have great results using the PC58 chain on Regina BX and CX freewheels (both 5 & 6 speed). I use this chain on all my vintage riders, from my 1949 Hetchins to my 1992 Tommasini. The chain is still available through your local shop, but the freewheels are unfortunately no longer produced. Hope this helps. Regards, Kevin Kruger - Grantville, PA
