A friend and neighbor, Tom Hermstad, recently stopped by with a couple of photos of he and his old riding buddies, our dearly departed Dave Staub among them. Tom and Dave were very good friends for many years, and like so many others Tom has nothing but wonderful stories about Dave and what a generous and kindhearted soul he was. During the summer of 1976, these friends went to Montreal to watch their pal George Mount compete in the Olympic Road Race and were thrilled to see George finish in sixth place. They brought their Paramounts to Montreal and rode their legs off in the surrounding countryside. I've posted these two vintage photos on my website, and hope to post several others with better shots of the bikes. Tom also brought over an oil on canvas painting which I offered to sell for him on eBay. I set the reserve at 50 bucks and all proceeds go back to Tom Hermstad
