Hi Don,

Thanks for pointing the H.R. Morris out, like you I had never looked at that one. I do love the stem. Like Brandon says, "there are plenty of folks can carve lugs that thin". The problem is it takes time and time is money and most folks can't afford to pay, or do want to pay, for the labor. Hell, even the Italian can do it. Attached is a photo of the seatlug of my Rauler. This kind of work you never see come out of Italy.
