I had a friend sell me this Masi. He said he bought it used in the early 80's in Bolder, CO. He then converted it to a touring bike. He and his future wife did much touring. Many years later he sold it to a fellow along with all parts he removed. This fellow restored the bike and had this paint job completed completed. In the late 90's my friend, thinking he'd like to get back into road bike riding contacted this fellow to inquire if he would possible sell the Masi back. The fellow did. However, my friend with family and job concerns never rode it much. He contacted me to sell it for him on Ebay but once I saw it and researched Masi I had to have it. I made a cash deal and sold another bike for him in order to snatch this nice Masi.
I thought the group might enjoy taking a look. If you have any comments I'd be interested in them. I believe the top tube cable braze-ons were probably added durning the nice repaint. I don't think this is an original color but the paint quality is first class. See the 20 or so images at the site below...
