Subject: [CR]Period correct for a Scot

John asks:- Then to be period correct for the Scot, would there be a 50's 27.2mm seatpost and a saddle clamp??

Did anybody know what a 27.2 seat pillar was in the fifties? I seem to recall that you used a size three for 20 gauge, a size four for 22 gauge and a size five for 531 butted ? I guess size five is the same as 27.2mm. Ray green, Brighton, England
