I've had a few questions regarding the sweet Masi GC up for sale on eBay at the moment. Since I'm extra super busy trying to get lots of stuff d one, and prepare for the Cirque right now, I'd like to save a little tim e by addressing the bike in question.
It's clearly an early CA period Carlsbad Masi, probably built in the sec ond run of frames that size and worked on by the "early crew" there. Mar io on the tourch, Ron Smith at the paint gun, and a whole cast of suppor ting craftsmen, including myself. This is a really fine example of what was being built there at the time and obviously what the repatation come s from. Shown in the most popular color at the time, light blue metallic . Proper parts all around, only thing it might need is a set of yellow B inda toe straps with the ends riveted. Rivets are avaiable from any leat hercraft store.
Someone will hopfully give this baby a new home and take with it the off icial bragging rights that come with such a machine. It's the real thing and in real fine condition. Hope it finds a good home and an appreciati ve new owner.
