Dan & Charles-

Bob Hovey probably has the best current source for the information on this, if I recall correctly, he got a set of photographs and images of a complete bike from 1971. When the bike was ordered, the transfer set caught on film was the first generation, the bike that arrived had the second style "crosshair" type with the updated head and seat tube transfers as well.

There probably was some overlap, but the date stamp on the fork steerer (12 71) would point me to a 1972 delivery, and the later transfer set.

Probably the best $150. problem one could find.

Interesting that there is no pump nib under the seat lug, they appear to have been used for a very short time.

Anyone know when the Silca "frame fit" pump was introduced?
