Don asks: "What does a savvy bike mechanic do when they have lost the little barrel adjuster that goes atop a campy-clone caliper? Assuming that an original adjuster will not be possible to find, one might as well get a generic one, rather than paying ? $20 retail ? for a campagnolo part (the only online price i could find, for such a part, from branford bike.)"

A savvy bike mechanic (30 years in the business) says that when one wants Campagnolo quality of design and execution, one bites the bullet and pays the price for genuine Campagnolo parts. Tektro makes a similar part, but the rubber O ring is a sloppy fit and regularly falls out of the groove when it is new, making it not worth the small savings.
