No real photos of it, but it is an example of an oversized toptube bike, Fred Delong's custom Paramount from the early to mid 1970s. It has a sloping toptube, with extended seattube, all the tubing is oversized. The rear brake cable runs through the seat tube and has many other cool little features. I just remembered when we were pulling the bike out that it had a 1 1/8" toptube, which was much discussed not too long ago, resulting in a member getting the boot! So even in the 1970s, people were thinking about it. The bike is basically in the state we got it in, one could almost imagine it is the way Fred Delong last saw it. It is the example he uses in Delong's Book of Bicycling to illustrate a quality Touring bike. We are also bringing his Louvet touring bike as well, it is also in his book. 2 cool little pieces bicycling history. Many thanks to Dick Wright. plus we are also bringing a Pogliaghi track bike, Old track racer, 1958 Frejus Track with 1st generation campy cranks/headset, and
others.
