That particular Torpado is now hanging in Dale's shop in Greensboro, on the rack in the work area that is raised and lowered on pulleys. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL

When I lived in South Carolina, I saw a Torpado show bike with a gold plated SLX frame (the Superlight, pictured on the CR page, was SL). The frame itself was sort of a "smoky" gold, but the fork was gold. All the Campagnolo components were anodized black, but I don't recall the group (it might have been a Victory/NR mix of some sort). Instead of the usual Torpado headtube decal, it had a pantographed Columbus logo. It would have been made during the time that the brand was imported to Lexington, SC, and I suspect that it was probably built just before the brand ceased production. The bike showed up on eBay a year or so ago, but being too big for me, there was no point in bidding.
