Regarding the question posed about if Cirque were filmed as "Best in Show", the movie, would it be a Murder Mystery or a Comedy, I think the only murder mystery part was post-Cirque, although there were tense moments that could have led to fistacuffs--the bikes falling down like dominoes at the end of the show; John Barron asking people not to touch certain parts and then watching people pick those parts up, without the cotton gloves he so graciously provided. Had they been owned by someone other than John, it could have been nasty.

There were so many comedic things that I wouldn't know how to capture all of them, but Ted Ernst trying to explain how he and his buddy gave a ride to a prostitute from Germany, through Aachen, to either Belgium or Netherlands and 'nothing' happening along the way was funny. Dave Moulton explaining that in his opinion Mountain Bikers are just BMXers who haven't grown up and how NASCAR stands for Non-athletic Sport Centered Around Rednecks was a hoot. Peter Weigle's early pictures at Witcomb showing Richie Sachs with super long hair--at one point I was thinking, "Hey, who's the babe in the middle in the coveralls?" I laughed more in three days than I have all year. Even my ride buddies had me in stitches. When you see Ron Edmiston next year, ask him how to check whether a chicken is a good layer using the two or three finger method--it isn't what you might think. Or, ask him to explain what "the float test" mentioned in his earlier post means. Or, riding with a relative youngster like Jonathan Greene and having him continuously refer to 'old ladies in their 50s" was funny. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL

I'm curious, how many attend this event?
