Subject: [CR]source for 500ml water bottle by Specialized, w/snap-on top?

hi gang,

Once again, when I was not paying attention, one of my favorite items went out of production. rats!

I'm speaking of the 500ml (a.k.a. pint) water bottle made by Specialized, equipped with a snap-on top. My recent searches at my assorted LBS's have only yielded Specialized bottles with screw-on tops, which are very functional, but look a bit out of place on my vintage bikes. Maybe I should explain that this is what I use in my TA handlebar cages.

For those of you who work at bike shops, do you have a stash of these older style bottles? Or know of someone who sells them?

As a back-up plan, I did buy a couple of the current 500ml Specialized bottles, as well as an Elite bottle with the TdF logo and map. Not quite vintage looking, but I guess I can't be too choosey right now. Are there any other 500ml bottles currently in production that I should consider??

thanks,
Steve Kurt
