Hi: Your site is great. I just bought what I think is a 1970 Pro in original condition. The woman who sold it to me said that her husband owned a lot of bikes, but rarely rode this one. Just spent a lot of time cleaning a polishing. She said he did change out the handlebars and maybe stem to Cinelli. Everything else seems stock (Brakes, drivetrain, even cable housing...) Who could I talk to about restoration ( Decals)? Value? I want to ride this white beauty, but the sew-ups look original. Are they 27" or 700c?Would be shameful not to ride it because of fear of changing the tires. When I get her cleaned, waxed and polished I'll send you guys some nice pics. Any thoughts about the ride geometry of this year's model? Or anything that you think I would find of interest? The bike is White with Black, Yellow, and red bands on the down tube, oval badge, Zeus dropouts. Missing downtube decal. Any help on this bike would be greatly appreciated. I love these bikes, just hard to find in my size. I am 5'8" and I think this is a 20.5" bike. I'll check it out when I clean her up. I just looked under the BB and the serial number is E1945. I Brooks Professional I think is original,( with the small rivets) but is showing recent stress cracks around the rivets. I think I have bee the only person to sit on this bike in 15 years. It must have been my weight that caused it. Should I replace it with another Brooks Pro that I have and save the old one for when I display the bike? Or should I just leave it and see what happens. The plastic cable housing looks really old and fragile. Should I replace it or leave the original. Any help in restoring the bike or any general information about this great bike would be greatly appreciated. Looking for a nice International in my size next.
