As always, this group is right on the way of going to extremes again. It it isn't the restore vs. patina discussion or Campy vs. Shimano or French vs. Italian, fillet brazed vs. lugged, etc., etc then it is this. Isn't it easy, though? If you know you don't agree with someone, keep it to yourself or shout into a cardboard box. Maybe the other guy thinks you are an idiot too? So? Is anybody helped when two pigheaded philanthropists go at each other about something as intangible as opinions? I do not think so.

Maybe everybody needs to do for their minds what they do for their bodies: exercise them. Not just going through the usual motions, but maybe looking at something from the other persons view. Crazy thought, huh? Might just work, and understanding is always the first step to acceptance. And wasn't there something about tolerance as well, ... ?

I have made good money selling cycling things on ebay, and if they didn't pay my rent they bought more cycling things to sell on ebay. Somebody already said that the market makes the price, so where is my fault in offering something desireable? If I do not want less than x amount for an article I can start the price at that, and if it doesn't sell for that, so what? On the other hand, maybe it was just the thing that somebody needed. Who knows?

I don't know; we've got this collection of old farts, young bucks, bike nerds, righteous folks, weeners, collectors, sellers (the two do not have to be opposites!), and interested onlookers. It is only natural that some of us can't stand another, but that is your/mine/our problem and not for the list.
