My gut feeling is that this brakeset is mucked with - I don't yet believe that the levers are original drilled from the factory, the adjuster 0-ring doesn't look real, the box doesn't seem to jive, and the condition of the calipers is kinda iffy on top of it all. And those center bolts don't seem to match one another - one early one and one that may be late - can't tell from the photos I see.

The price paid seems silly high. Maybe I'm just skeptical and this brakeset is indeed a super rare example of things that weren't typical production. But playing the statistics and what I see I doubt it.

> Ken, the seller says the box is original but the inlay probably is not. As far

\r?\n> as the levers, I think they are correct. As the seller notes, the holes were

\r?\n> drilled before the levers were form-pressed. Later levers had the holes punched

\r?\n> rather than drilled. The bend was also a little more pronounced in the early

\r?\n> levers, and as you can see in these levers, the tips are less bulbous.

\r?\n> Hi all C-R member,

\r?\n>

\r?\n> As the seller mentioned in his description, the box is much newer /later one.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Is the brake lever set very early 68's? I thought those short reach

\r?\n> perforated

\r?\n> ones are from Super Rcord era production form mid to late 70's, isn't it

\r?\n> right??

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Also, isn't it possible to buff off letters on the caliper and re-anodize for

\r?\n> 900.00

\r?\n> price tag?? See monting bolt "BREV" vs. "PATENT" CAMPAGNOLO, which one is

\r?\n> older. I thoght the "PATENT" one is older??????

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Regards to all.
