Jeff-

Everest was the predominate Freewheel and chain on Carlsbad Masi's, I did see a Special bike with Regina Oro drivetrain and a chrome round blade fork once while visiting there, but production spec was Everest.

Martano "bowtie" transfers came later than the "art deco" style, when Martano changed has not been fully pinned down, probably 1975, but remember, Masi Carlsbad bought a large quantity of components at the beginning of production operations in 1973, they were selling Campagnolo ensembles from the initial order at a cut rate when production ceased at Carlsbad. The vast majority of rims used at Carlsbad had the earlier transfer.
