I also saw that you like the Delta stainless steel bottle holders... That model, as well as the similar but different Salsa stainless cage, can been worked over with some compound on a buffing wheel to end up looking similar to your polished front racks...

I posted some photos of the Peter Weigle's bike that was awarded 'Best in Show" at this year's Le Cirque du Cyclisme on my blog. This bike is beyond stunning and I urge anyone who likes rando bikes to have a look.
Also, the constructeur-style front rack, that several list members provided valuable advice in designing, is done. Well, the prototype is done. I've also posted a couple of photos of it. I'd love any feedback you might have before it goes into production.
