Subject: [CR]One Last Lengthy Post of Vintage Parts For Sale (...hopefully)

In my seemingly unending effort to "clean house" of redundant spares, I am again offering a smattering of interesting items to the CR list in advance of posting them for sale on eBay (...you are encouraged to check my feedback in that other forum under the seller id name "57103"). Thankfully, I believe that this will be my last sizable purge of vintage parts in the foreseeable future. Some of these are real gems while others may be very nice but much more proletarian. Pictures and descriptions of the various "For Sale" items may be found posted to my Wool Jersey album at http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/For-Sale and I strongly encourage you to review same in order to make a thoroughly informed purchasing decision.

Please correspond directly through my public email address of rsb000@hotmail.com. All inquiries will be handled on a first come, first served basis. If you have any question as to whether an item is still available for sale, PLEASE CHECK FIRST WITH THE AFOREMENTIONED WOOL JERSEY GALLERY as I will be marking items as "SALE PENDING" when someone agrees to their purchase and then mark them as "SOLD" upon actual receipt of payment. All prices quoted herein and at Wool Jersey do not include shipping and/or insurance which will be done at cost. I would be happy to aggregate shipping expenses on multiple items destined for the same physical mailing address where practicable. I accept payment by PayPal, BidPay, cashier's check, money order, or well concealed cash (...mailed at your own risk). Your satisfaction is guaranteed to the extent that you are welcome to return all or part of any purchase for a full refund of monies not to include shipping and/or insurance provided that said merchandise is returned to me in a reasonably timely fashion and that it is in substantially the same condition as when I first sent it out to you (...please let me know in advance of your intentions should this prove to be the case).

I am happy to provide answers to the best of my abilities for whatever questions one might have regarding these items for sale. Please note, however, that even without the additional volume of messages generated through the CR list, I typically receive up to several hundred emails per day, so I am not always as prompt in my replies as I might care to be (...for this, I apologize in advance and hope you will understand that I do have other priorities that require my attentions).

HANDLEBARS

3ttt Record Competizione Superleggero handlebars - aluminum alloy with logo etching - traditional non-anatomic profile without cabling grooves - highly unusual F-B or French-Belgian bend profile (...not as fast forward or deep a drop as say a Gimondi bend and with a little more reach - a nice compromise between the more conventional TdF or Merckx profiles) - 26 mm clamp sizing - 40 cm O-t-O / 140 mm reach / 165 mm drop - model Superleggero (240 grams) - hands down the lightest traditional drop style racing handlebar available in the mid 1970's through early 1980's - [NOS in original packaging - even has the ephemeral 3ttt logo sticker still affixed] - $75.00

Generic handlebar tape - white plastic (...yuck!) - five yards per roll, so more than enough to do a complete set of bars - [New and unused (...and for good reason) in the remnants of their original packaging - made in Japan - quite frankly, I do not know how I ended up with this stuff, but I did - and now I am going to try to pawn it off on YOU - not one, not two, but THREE rolls available] - and each roll is FREE to the first person who asks (...in conjunction with purchase of anything else from this list) - WARNING: if these items are not claimed within a certain as of yet undetermined amount of time, I will begin to randomly disperse them within various outbound parcels, perhaps used a part of the packaging material itself. Consider yourself forewarned….

SEAT POSTS

Simplex 1500 - one piece cast alloy with flutes - two bolt side access NOT top access micro-adjusting clamp - 215 mm x 26.4 mm (150 mm above the limit line as measured to the rail clamps) - model 1500 - [NOS in original plastic packaging - perhaps not the prettiest, but certainly a nice vintage post from a venerable French firm] - $35.00

Sakae / Ringyo (SR) Laprade - one piece cast alloy with flutes - single bolt micro-adjusting clamp - 190 mm x 26.8 mm (125 mm above the limit line as measured to the rail clamps) - model Laprade - [Used but not really - removed from an early 1980's bike that was never ridden beyond the length of the driveway a couple of times (...there is a truly sad story behind this one) - one minor mark at the very bottom of the post well below the insertion limit line - any few remaining marks to be found are so superficial in nature that they will almost certainly disappear with a good application of Simichrome - worthy of all but the most fanatical restoration] - $20.00

BRAKES

Dia-Compe brake set - includes calipers, levers, and cables : 43 mm to 57 mm reach alloy calipers with alloy hardware - non-recessed hex nut mount - no quick release on the calipers - highly unusual (...at least for a road bike) right handed side pull - model DC-N500 : standard brake levers having non-aero cable routing - alloy bodies and lever blades - low friction without return spring - quick release - "suicide" style extension levers - model 165 (i.e. a model 144 lever with a model 166A extension lever) : Dia-Compe front brake inner cable - stainless steel - 1.6 mm x 63 cm : Dia-Compe front brake outer cable housing - clear-coated stainless - 52 cm -: Dia-Compe rear brake inner cable - stainless steel - 1.6 mm x 123 cm : Dia-Compe rear brake outer cable housing - clear-coated stainless - 116 cm - [Used but in very good condition - removed from one of my wife's bikes many years ago (...circa early to mid 1980's) and replaced after having been ridden less than 100 miles - only minor marks from long term storage - not exactly "high end" stuff, but perfectly usable and in wonderful condition] - $25.00 for the set (...and I can even throw in matching Dia-Compe shift cables with clear-coated stainless housings - just ask….)

Campagnolo Record complete brake set - includes calipers, levers, hoods, cables, and instructions : 48 mm to 56 mm "standard" reach side pull alloy calipers having non-recessed acorn nut mount - post 1973 third generation chamfered center bolt marked "PATENT" - pre 1977 non C.P.S.C. "flat" style QR levers without plastic wheel guide covers - model 2000 (front) and 2001 (rear) : Campagnolo brake pads - model 2010 : post 1970 Rondella Dentata tooth washers - marked “PATENT CAMPAGNOLO” - model 2041 : levers have standard non-aero cable routing - alloy bodies - post 1972-73 "long arm / short reach" alloy levers with "rounded point" profile and "U" shaped cable relief opening - pre 1983 cable holder ends marked "BREV. CAMP." - model 2030 : Campagnolo front brake inner cable - braided galvanized steel - cable end head marked <C> - 1.8 mm x 68 cm - model 2028 : Campagnolo front brake outer cable housing - light gray - 56 cm - model 2026 : Campagnolo rear brake inner cable - braided galvanized steel - cable end head marked <C> - 1.8 mm x 126 cm - model 2029 : Campagnolo rear brake outer cable housing - light gray - 114 cm - model 2027 - [NOS in original box with two sheets of installation instructions in four different languages - even the cardboard box itself is in superb condition - only missing one cardboard barrel adjuster "tag", otherwise it as complete as the day it left Vicenza (...caveat below) - never mounted, never used, only admired, and without evidence of any "shop wear" whatsoever - PLEASE NOTE: I acquired this brake set without any gum hoods and was content to leave it that way for some time - back about a year or so ago when there was a huge uproar here on the CR List and eBay regarding an individual who was at that time marketing "World Logo" gum hoods (...some would say "counterfeit" ones while others would contend that they were merely "reproductions"), I took the opportunity to secure a pair of same to check them out for myself and subsequently ended up throwing them onto these otherwise naked brake levers - let there be NO misrepresentation on my part here, as the hoods included within the scope of this sale are NOT originals, but rather, a set of the aforementioned reproduction hoods - maybe you can tell the difference, and maybe you cannot, and maybe it does not even matter to you as you contemplate purchase of this brake set - regardless, I ask that you please make your decision, whatever it may be, knowing right up front the whole truth in this regard] - $375.00 for the set

MAFAC Competition complete brake set - includes calipers with pads, bolts, transverse cables, yokes, hangers, levers, hoods (black), front and rear shielded brake cables (white housing) : dual pivot center pull alloy calipers - early style with logo etched into face of the leading arm and no wheel guides - bronze pivot bushing - front fixed bridge version (large stirrup - 48 mm to 58 mm reach) - rear adjustable bridge version (large stirrup - 51 mm to 66 mm reach) - model Competition : traditional racing levers having standard non-aero cable routing - alloy bodies with alloy lever blades - integral top mount cable adjuster - "half style" gum hoods (black) - model Dural Course 121 : MAFAC front brake inner cable - braided galvanized steel - 1.8 mm x 65 cm - model 50F : MAFAC front brake outer cable housing - Pearl White - 45 cm - model 51F : MAFAC rear brake inner cable - braided galvanized steel - 1.8 mm x 126 cm - model 60R : MAFAC rear brake outer cable housing - Pearl White - 111 cm - model 61R - [Better than NOS without packaging - every little bit and piece part of this entire brake set has been thoroughly disassembled, professionally polished to a high luster, and then carefully re-assembled - at this point, it literally glitters like the bike jewelry that it truly is - worthy of the most fanatical restoration or over the top custom bike - this grouping was actually purchased last year from CR List member Eric Elman as a "reserve contingency" while I polished up another MAFAC Competition brake set of my own lest something unexpectedly happen to any of the pieces involved - thankfully, nothing did and I really only have need of one complete set for myself, which makes this one redundant from my perspective] - $200.00 for the set

MAFAC competition brake levers - standard non-aero "out the top" cable routing - integral composite cable adjuster - "drillium" style alloy lever blades - virtually indestructible lightweight polycarbonate body (...genuine French "plastique") having a lightly textured surface (...not that cheap looking smooth plastic version with horrible tactile qualities as found on the MAFAC Course 130 Promotion levers or the much heavier Course 218 having gum hoods and a clumsy metal cable adjuster) - these levers weigh in at only 70 grams a piece including all mounting hardware and are super durable - model Course 435 - [NOS without packaging - do not be fooled into thinking that these are merely your run of the mill Course 130 or Course 218 models - in their day, these were the absolute "top of the line" in MAFAC brake levers - they were also the trick upgrade back in the late 1970's to match up with those Spence Wolf "hot rod" MAFAC Competition or 2000 series calipers on your weight-weenie French racing bike - a bargain at this price - the infamous "KD" (i.e. "he whose name must never be spoken here") stole the last pair exactly like these that I saw offered on eBay back in December at nearly twice the amount I am asking] - $35.00 per pair

MAFAC deluxe brake lever - standard non-aero "out the top" cable routing - integral cable adjuster - "drillium" style alloy lever blade - lightweight polycarbonate body completely covered with a traditional full style gum hood - 105 grams - model Course 429 - [NOS without packaging - an orphan brake lever with one minor mark on the front of the lever blade - either use for parts or use it as a spare] - $10.00

Campagnolo Record / NR / SR brake lever hoods - natural gum - pre 1984 “World Logo” - later version without the rectangular molding seam around the globe logos - sensually soft, suitably supple, and without any blighting discolorations - model 2039 - [NOS - new and unused … BUT … both hoods have been repaired ----- many, many years ago, a ham fisted wrench who was not exactly the sharpest spoon in the drawer (...no - not myself, thank you very much) at Beaverton Cyclery managed to tear several hoods in the process of trying to remove same from a pile of then new Campy levers - I ended up with all of the damaged ones and promptly stuffed them into a plastic bag which I then threw into my stock of spares, forgetting about them for quite some time - eventually, technology progressed to a point where their reclamation was feasible using Loctite Prism 406 (...I have had great results with this product in repairing old Campy gum hoods that have split, or cracked, or have otherwise been torn) - with respect to the repaired hoods being offered for sale here, one of them came out so well that you would be hard pressed to notice the imperfection unless you were within just a few inches and were actually looking with intent to find it - the other repair, however, could definitely have come out better as the bonding agent set itself before things were precisely fit - it really is not too bad, but it is definitely noticeable, so please take this into account when considering purchase - while not necessarily appropriate for a true "show bike", these hoods would work well for almost any other application (...over the years, I have used similarly repaired hoods from my stash with great success) and they should last as long in use as any other Campy gum hood (...which might not be saying much if you subject them to extremities in temperature and humidity - after all, they are the 100 percent genuine article) - PLEASE NOTE: I will offer an additional money-back guarantee on these items that they will slide onto a set of suitable Campy brake levers without incident so long as their installation is done properly, which is to say gently, with appropriate lubrication (...and you thought that KY was only good for one thing), and from the back side of the lever body after having been removed from any handlebar ... NOT from the front side while trying to stretch everything over the cable exit crown of the brake lever body, but you already knew that, right?] - $40.00 per pair

AME brake lever hoods - natural gum / brown color - one matched pair - suitable for use with Dia Compe / Gran Compe and similar non-aero (i.e. standard) levers - model 144.7 style - [Used with patina-o-plenty - still, no rips or tears and they remain nice and supple - very useable, but a tad on the grungy side - difficult to find in anything other than "wild" colors these days, and that is especially true of the natural gum / brown versions such as these] - $2.00 per pair

Scott / Mathauser cantilever brake shoes and pads - legendary iron oxide compound - 54 mm overall length with a huge 53.75 mm x 8.5 mm rim contact area - standard 7 mm straight post with serrations - intended for use with cantilever brake sets but will also work with vintage MAFAC calipers including their Dural Forge, Racer, Competition, GT, or 2000 models - complete set of four for both front and rear - [NOS in original packaging - WARNING: if you do intend to use these with non-canti MAFAC calipers, be aware that these shoes and pads can induce flex in the arms and even the brake bridge during a "panic stop" due to the incredible amount of "bite" that they can deliver - use with caution and ONLY with calipers in a perfect state of maintenance, or those having either a supplementary brake booster bridge or braze-on mounting] - $20.00 per set of four

Scott / Mathauser brake pads - legendary iron oxide compound - size M or 40 mm actual length - intended for use with vintage Campagnolo Record (NR/SR) calipers but will also work with period Dura-Ace, MAFAC, Zeus and possibly others - complete set of four for both front and rear calipers - model 83363 - [NOS in original packaging - these are the "real deal" - perfect period upgrade for that vintage bike that you actually ride on occasion - likely to outlast and outperform anything else on the market and certainly anything else from their era] - $20.00 per set of four

Kool-Stop brake pads - black carbon compound - 41.25 mm actual length - intended for use with vintage Campagnolo Record (NR/SR) calipers but will also work with period Dura-Ace, MAFAC, Zeus and possibly others - complete set of four for both front and rear calipers - model KS-CR - [NEW and unused without packaging - perfect to use on that vintage bike that you actually ride on occasion - visually indistinguishable from Campy original pads from a distance of about three feet or more (...depending upon one's eyesight) - outperforms anything else on the market with perhaps the exception of the "salmon" colored iron oxide version of same produced by either Scott / Mathauser or Kool-Stop] - $15.00 per set of four

Simplex brake cable clips - top tube mount - chrome plated steel - matched set of three - apropos those French bikes having a metric sized tubeset with a correspondingly ever so slightly larger diameter top tube - includes self tapping mounting screws - model 2111 - [NOS in original packaging - never been opened, so who knows, there may yet be some genuine vintage French air left inside, peut-étre?] - $15.00 for the set of three

Brake adjuster barrel "O" rings - suitable replacements for use with vintage Campagnolo Nuovo / Super Record brakesets - these are NOT Campy OEM parts but they are virtually indistinguishable from same by all but the most astute cognoscenti - brake adjuster barrel shown for demonstrative purposes only and is NOT included within the scope of this offer (...duh!) - [New without packaging - 4 sets of matched pairs available] - $2.50 per pair

Atom 77 - 13/21 (13-14-15-17-19-21) 6-speed or 14/21 (14-15-17-19-21) 5-speed - 22 mm splined removal interface - 1.370" x 24 TPI English thread - 3x2x1 stepped body / 3 three notch slip fit cogs with spacers / 3 individually threaded cogs - high luster gold cogs with unfinished steel faceplate and body - model 77 - [Lightly used but in excellent condition - almost imperceptible wear other than a slight loss of the gold tone plating on the cog teeth (...either re-plate or strip the finish and it would look NOS, or ride it "as is") - can be used as a standard 126 mm OLD spaced 6-speed or a 120/122 mm OLD spaced 5 speed inasmuch as the face of the freewheel body is i.d. threaded to accept that 13 tooth cog which, as a result, can be removed without impact to the remaining 5 cogs - thoroughly disassembled and serviced - the cogs themselves have been reassembled "dry" and "loose" for storage (...i.e. without benefit of anti-seize compound which I would HIGHLY recommend for those threaded cogs prior to actual use) - one of my absolute favorite non-racing specific freewheels from "back in the day"] - $40.00

Maillard 700 Service Course Pro 5-speed freewheel kit - comes pre-built as a 14/23 (14-16-18-21-23) 5-speed - two notch removal interface - 1.370" x 24 TPI English thread - 3x2 stepped body / 4 three notch slip-fit cogs with spacers / 14 tooth threaded cog serves as a lock / 20 tooth and larger cogs are all factory "drilled" - includes extra second and third position 19 and 20 tooth cogs / extra fourth and fifth position 22, 24, 25, 26, and 28 tooth cogs - also includes freewheel removal tool - model 700 Service Course Pro - [NOS in original box and packaging - you can build this freewheel up anywhere from a 14/22 to a 14/28 including many combinations in between - please note that this is a steel cog kit and NOT an alloy one] - $60.00

DERAILLEURS / SHIFTERS / PARTS

Tacx sealed bearing derailleur pulley / jockey wheels - set of two durable nylon wheels - suitable for use with derailleurs having 5 mm, 5.5 mm, or 6 mm bearing axles including Campagnolo Nuovo and Super Record - model T-4000 - [NOS in original packaging - an excellent alternative to those expensive Campy originals for the regularly ridden vintage bike] - $10.00 for the pair

Campagnolo bottom bracket twin control cable guide - model 626/A - [NOS without packaging - includes mounting nut and bolt - an unblemished original that has never been squeezed closed] - $10.00

Simplex retrofriction shift levers - post 1977 having the "open hoop" style of handle - suitable for braze-on mounting or even clamp-on if you adapt them to something along the lines of a Simplex Prestige or Criterium downtube clamp (...let me know if you need one) - the ultimate in downtube shifters from this era, or any other for that matter - [Used in qualified very good condition - both of the retaining / adjusting screws have their slotted heads mangled to some minor extent (...which is really no big deal since replacements having the appropriate threading and length can be found at almost any good hardware store - either brick and mortar or virtual) - one light abrasion on the back outside facing of the right hand lever which happened when a shift cable snapped on me (...fortunately, it is not all that visible once the lever is properly mounted) - includes one extra left side "orphaned" lever with minor cosmetic issues to use as spare parts should, God forbid, one of the internal springs ever decide to self destruct at some inopportune time in the future] - $35.00 for the pair plus a spare

CRANKSET / PARTS

Campagnolo Record / NR / SR crank cover plates - chromed steel - standard 22 mm x 1 mm thread - 5 mm Allen wrench fittings - pre 1978 marked "PATENT CAMPAGNOLO" - one matched pair - model 756 - [Used in excellent condition - no marks, no scratches, no oxidization, front or back - only the slightest hint of use seen at the Allen wrench holes (...and it is very, very slight) - I have seen worse NOS versions having "shop wear"] - $20.00

Campagnolo (Nuovo) Record chain ring - 144 mm BCD - 52 tooth alloy outer ring with inner reinforcement web - pre 1974 without any chain "roll off" pin" - pre 1978 marked "PATENT CAMPAGNOLO" on the lower reinforcement ring - model 753/52 - [Used 1500 to 2000 miles - decided wear to the teeth with minor signs of profiling on the ramps - typical evidence of chain lift markings on the backside - otherwise minimal cosmetic blemishes] - $10.00

Campagnolo (Nuovo) Record chain ring - 144 mm BCD - 52 tooth alloy outer ring with inner reinforcement web - pre 1974 without any chain "roll off" pin" - pre 1978 marked "PATENT CAMPAGNOLO" on the lower reinforcement ring - model 753/52 - [Used 700 to 1000 miles - moderate wear to the teeth with almost no sign of profiling on the ramps - typical evidence of chain lift markings on the backside - several minor cosmetic blemishes including various small spots on its backside along the lower reinforcement ring indicating the possible onset of corrosion] - $10.00

Campagnolo (Nuovo) Record chain ring - 144 mm BCD - 52 tooth alloy outer ring with inner reinforcement web - pre 1974 without any chain "roll off" pin" - pre 1978 marked "PATENT CAMPAGNOLO" on the lower reinforcement ring - model 753/52 - [Used 1300 to 1500 miles - decided wear to the teeth with minor signs of profiling on the ramps - typical evidence of chain lift markings on the backside - several minor cosmetic blemishes on the face of this chain ring] - $10.00

Campagnolo (Nuovo) Record chain ring - 144 mm BCD - 51 tooth alloy outer ring with inner reinforcement web - post 1973 with chain "roll off" pin" - pre 1978 marked "PATENT CAMPAGNOLO" on the lower reinforcement ring - model 753/51 - [NOS without packaging - perfect and original in every way] - $35.00

Campagnolo (Nuovo) Record chain ring - 144 mm BCD - 50 tooth alloy outer ring with inner reinforcement web - post 1973 with chain "roll off" pin" - pre 1978 marked "PATENT CAMPAGNOLO" on the lower reinforcement ring - model 753/50 - [Used 1000 to 1500 miles - definite wear to the teeth but absolutely no evidence of profiling on the ramps - hardly any signs of chain lift marking on the backside - minimal cosmetic blemishes excepting the typical "ghosting" from having been mounted before, all of which will be obscured by the crank spider arms when bolted into position once again] - $15.00

Campagnolo (Nuovo) Record chain ring - 144 mm BCD - 49 tooth alloy outer ring with inner reinforcement web - pre 1974 without any chain "roll off" pin" - pre 1978 marked "PATENT CAMPAGNOLO" on the lower reinforcement ring - model 753/49 - [NOS in its original paper dust jacket - while it is clearly new and unused, however, there is very minor evidence of light surface abrasion on its backside] - $15.00

Campagnolo (Nuovo) Record chain ring - 144 mm BCD - 43 tooth alloy inner ring with inner reinforcement web - marked "<C>" - model 753/43 - [NOS in its original paper dust jacket - one very tiny factory machining imperfection on the backside (...which is to say, the side that is facing outward and to the right when properly mounted) - otherwise, as flawless as one could hope] - $30.00

Sakae Ringyo (SR) chain ring - 144 mm BCD - 52 tooth alloy outer ring without inner reinforcement web (similar to Campy Super Record style) - factory "drillium" job - no chain "roll off" pin" - [Used 3500 to 4000 miles - ample wear to the teeth with definite signs of profiling on the ramps - typical evidence of chain lift markings on the backside - other minor cosmetic blemishes - this ring is well worn - hey, you can make a clock out of it or use it as wall art] - FREE to the first person who asks (...in conjunction with purchase of anything else from this list)

TOE CLIPS / STRAPS

Christophe toe clips (size large) - chrome plated steel - standard width mount - deluxe leather lined straps - includes mounting plates and hardware - late 1970's to 1980's style Christophe block logo runs down each strap - model Deluxe - [NOS without packaging but always properly stored - a very difficult item to find "new" these days - this is how you properly protect your vintage Detto Pietro, Diadora, Sidi, or Vittoria cycling shoes] - $35.00

Avenir toe clips (size medium) with AFA white leather straps - chrome plated steel - standard width mount - includes mounting plates and hardware - circa early 1980's Avenir logo - AFA toe straps have metal buckles with plastic rollers - [Used in fair to good condition - removed from one of my wife's bikes - typical signs of use with very minor scuffs but no serious "road rash" - of course, the chrome finish has gently worn through where one's foot normally makes contact on the clips - faint evidence of oxidization which will assuredly all but disappear with a little bit of chrome polish - straps show slight discoloration from use but are not particularly worn or in any way stretched (...heck, she only weighs somewhere between 92 and 95 pounds soaking wet) - no, these won't win any beauty contest, but they really are not too bad looking and they are, of course, perfectly functional] - FREE to the first person who asks (...in conjunction with purchase of anything else from this list)

WHEELSETS / RIMS / TIRES / PARTS

MAVIC Monthlery Route polished alloy tubular rims - vintage mid/late 1970's to early 1980's version of this rim - 21.5 mm width - low profile 700C - 36 holes with eyelets - drilled Presta - standard non-machined braking surfaces - one matched pair - [NOS without packaging - shop soiling and light oxidization on the occasional eyelet, all of which should disappear with a good polishing (...I detailed a similar pair from this same batch and they came out absolutely gorgeous, so I have no reason to believe that these should turn out any different - I did, however, spend the better part of an hour as well as one-eighth of a two ounce tube of MAAS aluminum polish to achieve the result I sought and which may be seen in the fourth picture) - foil labels completely intact - never built, never glued, never even used to stretch a tubbie] - $35.00 for the pair

Raleigh labeled 27" x 1 1/8" tires and tubes - circa early to mid 1980's gum wall clinchers - nylon casing with wire bead - herringbone tread pattern with raised ridge center section - 90 psi maximum rating - 27" x 1 1/8" (28-680) size - made in Taiwan - [Used but not really - removed from a bike that was never ridden beyond the length of the driveway a couple of times (...there is a truly sad story behind this one) - these tires are virtually indistinguishable from NOS, nice and supple, showing no signs of distress or fatigue - the tubes are similarly like new and hold air with the best - that said, they are still 20 to 25 year old tires and tubes and I would not recommend someone mount them on a bike and then promptly go about riding a century along the perilously littered shoulder of some remote country road - I imagine that they would be fine, however, for moderate local use and would certainly be PERFECT for use with a second "display only" set of wheels - for the zealot who must have absolutely everything original to their bike] - $40.00 per pair (...tires and tubes)

Campagnolo Nuovo Tipo QR adjusting nut - chromed steel - pre 1978 marked "PATENT CAMPAGNOLO" / conical profile with raised knurled edge - suitable for use with either front or back skewers in conjunction with 1251 Nuovo Tipo small flange hubs or 1253 Nuovo Tipo large flange hubs - model 1307 - [NOS without packaging - will also work quite nicely on the end of a vintage Campy Record QR skewer, but it is not the "proper" one - eight individual adjusting nuts available] - $3.00 each

Robergel "Trois Etoiles" or "Three Stars" spokes - double butted stainless steel - 100 count per box - includes matching box of Robergel chrome plated brass nipples - [NOS in original packaging - one box of 295 and two boxes of 305 available] - $20.00 per box of 100

Rigida AL-1320 rim decals - water transfer style - the at one time ubiquitous "Red Label" version suitable for use on 1970's Rigida 1320 hooked bead profile clincher rims in 700c sizing - [New reproductions - this is the result of my own frustration at not being able to secure a set of these for my own use, so I reluctantly developed the necessary artwork and then printed up a bunch myself - inasmuch as this is a bit of a "home grown" experiment, please understand right up front that anyone out there who purchases a set of these is volunteering to become part of a "beta test" group - that is to say that I cannot guarantee at this point that these decals will suit everyone's needs when subjected to a multitude of varied uses since my own universe of one is too small to extrapolate meaningful conclusions about such matters - that being the case, I will offer to fellow CR List members an unconditional money back guarantee that these decals will meet with whatever your expectations may be - all I ask in order for you to secure an immediate refund of your monies is that you explain to me EXACTLY why they did not function satisfactorily from your perspective - if this "beta test" scheme works out well, then you may see these being offered on eBay at some time in the future but for more money than is being asked here (...there is an overhead to be recovered when selling on eBay you know)] - $6.00 per pair

WATER BOTTLES

REG Thermic - water bottle - white plastic shell with silvered glass lining similar to a traditional Thermos (...intended to keep hot beverages hot and cold beverages cold much longer than a conventional thin wall plastic water bottle) - standard 74 mm o.d. sizing works with any traditional bottle cage - claimed to be "unbreakable" (...which I suppose means that you won't have to spend additional monies on that shipping insurance - yuk, yuk...) - 250 cc capacity - vintage Italian - model 314 standard - [NOS in original box - includes delicate rice paper instructions suitable for framing - often found paired with those early REG "erector set" water bottle cages - perfect for the well caffeinated vintage cyclist] - $10.00

T.A. Specialties - water bottle - standard 74mm size with vintage tapered profile to properly and securely fit into those period T.A. water bottle cages - white plastic with red and blue Tour de France insignia - [NOS without packaging - unscathed and without any cracks or embrittlement - procured within this last year from the colorful "Ricardo Bullisimo", but plans on the bike project for which it was purchased have now changed] - $30.00

T.A. Specialties - two water bottles - standard 74mm size with vintage tapered profile to properly and securely fit into those period T.A. water bottle cages - white plastic with "Spécialités de Course" logo on one side and a circular red and blue "TA" logo on the other - [Used, in fact, VERY used - these are relics of mine from the mid 1970's that saw considerable duty on my Gitane TdF - originally, one was for drinking and the other had a "shaker" style top for liberally dousing myself with water - the "shaker" top is now MIA - the plastic on the other bottle has become brittle to the point of cracking at its top and attempts to remove its cap will only further its self destruction - there are also various marks and rubs on the exterior of both bottles which will be difficult to remove since subjecting them to even a simple warm water bath will likely cause the logo markings on their sides to further deteriorate - at this point, I would consider them to be "non-functional" and unsuitable for use as actual water bottles - that said, these vintage bottles would still make nice static display pieces, most especially on a bike having a similar patina] - $10.00 for the matched pair

MISCELLANEOUS

Zefal frame pump - 19.75" total length uncompressed / 18.5" compressed - silver color - stepped alloy barrel with alloy handle - metal (...not plastic) pump head with thumb lever lock - rubberized hand grip - Presta compatible - model HP - [Used - circa 1977 - has a few small cosmetic imperfections but no deep finish scratches or dents - logo is completely intact - and unlike an ABS barreled Silca pump, this Zefal has enough heft to reprimand the most menacing canine and yet live to pump another day - perhaps most importantly, it still inflates a tire as efficiently as the when I first bought it] - $5.00

Rhode Gear Flick Stand - an ingenious device that helps prevent unintended and damaging parking spills - suitable for use on bicycles having a downtube measuring between 1 and 1 1/8 inch diameter - black plastic mount with choice of two differently sized wire tire clamps - model FS2000 - [NOS in original packaging - a practical retro chic 1970's accessory] - $10.00

REG rubber shift lever covers - matched pair in white - model 341 - [Used good condition - slight discoloration from "bright white" to more like a shade of ivory - very minor surface abrasions - 2 sets of matched pairs available] - FREE to the first persons who ask (...in conjunction with purchase of anything else from this list - only one set per person, please)
