BOB FREITAS posts:

"Bruce fillet brazed his 753 test and it was OK'd."

Bruce Gordon responds:

"This is all news to me!!!"

Of course, Bruce took Reynolds' brass prohibition one step further and built a frame with no brazing material whatsoever. He merely inserted the tubes into the lugs, clamped each joint in his teeth, and chomped down with enough force to bond the pieces at the molecular level

Reynolds was so happy with the "bite bonded" frame that they paid for the massive dental work Bruce required when the project was finished.

It was this very frame that Bernard Hinault used in achieving his stunning victory in the 1980 TDF. Who could forget his epic battle with Moser throughout that race?

Hope this clears things up.

Sincerely,
