more than likely you have a euro model UE-8...stateside the UO-8 mens or UE-18 mixte....it was a uo8 w/ alloy fenders and a rear mounted generator w/ frt and rear lites...and the rack.. and also toe clips and straps....alloy kick stand included, hmmmm, can't remember.... most to arrive here by the late 70's had QR wheels frt and rear and the bike was considered a commuter and the UO-8 was the "racer"....frame material and goemetry were identical w/ the exception of some braze on stops i do seem to remember...it took careful assemble to get everything just right, fender spaceing etcetera, but looked very sharp when brand new...peugeot set the standand for this type of cycle....but in that era the small english builders made the best looking commuter 10 speed....like the Dawes marque...the non QR wheels on early peugeot had the big butterfly nuts frt and rear...the rear switched out for axel nuts to minimize axel slip when under load(climbing)....all could also easily be set up w/ the peugeot flat bar that appeared on the UO-18 mixte that gave the bike a pleasant upright rideing position....white was most common color but black, red and even the bright yellow was about....and metallic green....thanks for reading the ramble of this old man....charles flaherty in baltimore maryland
