Here's a modern builder dropping the seat stays a couple inches below the lug. Its beginning to look like you can attach stays where ever the heck you want without compromise in performance. I'm increasingly amazed that as precise and fine a machine as a good, handmade light weight bike is that it can have this much variance in seat stay contact point. 120015224790
