Why not get a custom tandem with the 30" down hill wheel size? KoF frame construction, 30" wheels already made 1900 type time, so all is CR timeline. Scorch 'em Tommie! Wheeee! Ted Ernst Palos Verdes Estates CA USA

Aaah, but Ted, you have a supple pedalling style, whereas we have pedal strokes like pile drivers. Beloved Spouse and I spin out a 54x12 rear on a 700c rear wheel at around 37 mph. And a 26 inch would be worse. Lots more speed there if I had a gear I could mash. I feel - the - need --- for SPEED!

At 40mph downhill with my wife on the back seat we were sorta coasting in 52 x14 albeit 700 C wheels and she was beseeching me to slow down as she was in the white knuckle zone. Sounds like X-Games Adams! WOW!
