Thanks for the explanation Morgan. Nothing I can't easily live with. Thanks again for all the work. Eddie.

You mean like this?

http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=102889

When I did the import I had to choose how the old text fields mapped to the new text fields. I did it like this:

set title from: Base filename set summary from: Caption set description from: Description, if set, else 'default to summary field if custom field not set'

This was a hack because the new summary field is limited to 256 chars, and there was a chance that text from the old Caption field would be lost if it was only imported to summary and the characters after 256 were truncated. There were a lot of photos with BOTH Caption and Description set in the old gallery, and so that's why I had the funny mapping of text fields. This results in many photos having the old summary field for both summary and description. I apologize for this, but it was the only way to preserve data. Please edit the text fields to suit you.

That part I can't easily fix. Many of the new browsers have a "zoom-in" text feature, where they can increase all the fonts for a given site. On firefox it's Ctrl-+ . Would that help?

Again, I'm cc-ing classicrendezvous in case this helps others. I don't have a way to email the 'set of registered users' yet.
