Well, it sure is gratifying to know that the replacement Dia-Compe hoods I use on my NR brakes have provision for safety levers! I always wondered why they made the circle on the Dia-Compe logo perforated. I have a couple of lesser bikes from that era with Dia-Compe brakes, but the generic replacement hoods I put on them don't have that provision.
