I have not only seen one, I've used one on a frame I built. I had it
around for a long time and was waiting for something special to use
it on. It is the steerer I used when I built my Masi Special Replica
track bike. The full chrome one.
I don't know where I got that one, but they are rather rare. I have
seen an Italian Masi or two with those steerers in them. I'm pretty
sure they are Columbus steerers with the rifleing inside. I'll check
when I get to the shop.

It reminded me that I have been wondering for some time now if
Campy ever really sold the steering column shown on page 34. Has
anyone seen a steerer with the Campy logo stamped in the side? Were
they possibly made w/o the logo, thus making them look like any other
steerer (give or take special butting, splining, etc.)? It would
certainly not surprise me if the marking depicted in the catalog art
never appeared on the actual part, or if the actual part was never
made in significant numbers. Does anyone know anything about this
part?
