Charles Andrews asked about the grpahics on Masi Gran Criterium water bottles.

The Italian bikes for some time continued to use the a two colored graphic based on the first generation GC down tube transfer. The Carlsbad bikes also used this same design. If I remember correctly, the first units sent still were printed Milano, my very early Carlsbad came with a Milano bottle. I think the very late ones had California, replacing the Milano.

I emailed the fellow I sold my October '76 bike to, he has kept the NOS bottle that went with the bike in its original wrapper.

So, they are around, just not enough of them.

Sometime during the "San Marcos" period, or at least post Carlsbad the graphics changed dramatically to a single color design. Those bottles appear to still have been sourced from ALE.
