Thank you, Jerry, and others who have responded.

You ask a good question about the fork transfer. If there had been one, what would it have said?

Also, if they (Claud Butler in particular, but British builders of the era in general) used some other non-531 tubing on the fork, what, most likely, would it have been? KROMO by A&C? Or would it have been a no-name alloy. Who were the major suppliers of such no name British tubing during the day?

I've added the only shot I have of the fork.

I think the remnant you see is probably a Claud Butler transfer, but might there have been some kind of tubing transfer also?
