This was the first cycling magazine I ever purchased - "International Cycle Sport" No.142, March 1980. Bought this at Pete Disalvo's "International Pro Bike Shop" sometime that summer. Image on the well-worn front cover shows La Redoute - Motobecane teammates Paul Sherwen (Britain)on the left, and Jean Luc Van den Broucke (Belgium) "...two of the fittest riders in the South of France this year for the early season clashes."
Images like this made a huge impression on me back then.
