Well... in fact there is. It's a 10-32 machine screw, which is roughly the equivalent of 4.8mm x .794 mm per thread.

Sometimes, they're completely interchangeable, depending on how sloppy (or tight) the thread and die work is - or how worn the tooling is. Sometimes, they'e just close enough to get you in trouble.

By the way, in days of yore, Jim Blackburn used 10-32 fasteners in applications where you would expect a 5mm x .8 fastener to have been used. Maybe he picked up that little trick from some British fabricator/builder? Cheers, Fred Rednor - Arlington, Virginia (USA)
