Beware, Left Coast Brethren, I am returning!
Six weeks to go until Chuck Schmidt's Velo Rendezvous VI in lover-ly Pasadena CA, and I've just got my arrangements completed. If you haven't been before, I highly recommend a trip west for good riding, good comraderie and good times. Good food too! The event hotel (Courtyard Marriot at Old Town Pasadena) still has rooms available, as well as some more affordable offerings a little further east up Colorado Ave. Several places have rooms for under $70 a night for those needing more affordable digs. The Courtyard is nice, though, and an eclectic group meets in the Courtyard Bar most evenings. Plane fares have come down too. I got a round trip to LAX thru Philly for under $300. Not a direct flight, but only one connection.
So who's going, and what are you bringing? I've got about four bikes I'm considering, two of which are in the "in progress" mode. Lets see, fancy lugged English, classic American, funky Canadian or historically significant: decisions, decisions, decisions.
