Bob,
I would imagine it was Falieros' policy. Regarding how assembly was
done, Faliero had a way to do every operation, and there were no
variations. More than anything else Faliero seemed to enjoy putting
bikes together. I was taught to oil every thread (like even the nut
that holds the brake levers on) prior to assembly. He was very
specific.
