Ask anybody who has rolled one. Maybe most weekend riders can get by without the extra glue, but add in some fast descents, brake heat, and a strong rider and it is better to be safe than sorry. I witnessed a list member roll a tubbie a couple years back. It was an ugly digger and yard sale. I think he's mostly all clincher now.
