Part of the problem of understanding how to firmly attach tubulars to rims comes from people's perception of what glue is. Most hear glue and think Elmers (maybe on this list crazy glue?-just kidding).

Instead think of these products as more of a type of contact cement. When making laminate counters, you place a thin layer of contact cement on the laminate and the substrate (particleboard) and let them dry. Than you carefully place the laminate down because once they make contact they aren't coming apart.
