Subject: [CR]Can you help me I.D a old Holdsworth?

I've recently been given a old holdsworth cycle by my dad, and was hoping someone here could help me ID it; for my own interest, but also to help me restore it to its former glory!

I'm aware of this site: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/nkilgariff/. The owner has removed the serial no. enquiry address, and i have already tried trawling through the specs of all the listed bikes to match mine, but no luck.

My bike is a light turquiose colour, with flamboyant red headtube and seat tube band...however I doubt the originality of the turqoise as it has turned very matt and "powdery" over the years. The bike is fitted mostly with campag "Gran sport" components, except for the rims and centre pull breaks, which are weinmann, and stronglight cotterless cranks It has a metal head badge which leads to me to beleive it is at least pre- 80s. The frame no. which was under the BB is "26 1-1 0"

I guess some of the components may be unoriginal, or infact built up from a frameset, but it may help you help me none the less.

I would be very very very gratefull to anyone who can help. I am tearing my hair out trawling the net to no avail!

thanks again.
