I looked at the Schwinn "databook" website: http://www.geocities.com/sldatabook/prologue.html It indicates the "short-coupled" or "sprint-type" frame was available as a Paramount option for the P13 from 1975 to 1978. The "Sprint" model is quite a different bike; like a Varsity. The Ebay bike is obviously a Paramount. The story about the brake and front der is a bit bizarre, though. Why would you remove them (and leave both chainwheels)? And the seller says he never installed them!!??
