Picked up this interesting mongrel of a bike today to build up as my new fixed gear town bike. Weird mix of parts including a Major Taylor bar/stem combo (with Schwinn written on the stem and a AS bolt in the clamp). Crankset is stamped made in France, and looks to have a "FS" in the ring. Pedals are marked Phillips. BB is stamped with a "C" and another mark that looks scribed or poorly stamped? Plus the numbers 5962. I'm off to strip it down and try to give it some dignity back.
