Hello CR people,

Just wanted to publicly thank Sterling Peters for the Sat. Velodrome rid e and BBQ. It was really great to get the fixed gears together and do so me laps around the track. We even had the benifit of the motor for a lit tle while; which came near the end of our time there, you know, when wha t few beans I had were pretty much already spent. Couldn't resist riding the Cinelli with the 66 x 12 gear to see how it went. I found that is w as a little more difficult to control the speed while going somewhat slo w behing the motor. I wasn't there when the speed topped out around 33mp h; I think Greg from Cyclart on the Bianchi did the finallap at speed.

I think most if not all of us got inspired to ride more track stuff on a ccount of this outing. Matty and several others want to do another sessi on much sooner that next year. We'll keep everyone posted. We got a real nice reception from the "regulars" in attendance and that is also real nice. It's no fun being around "track snobs" for sure.

I missed Tall Paul, Rob Roberson, Fernando Castro, and Fast Eddie; wish they had joined us for the ride and party. Regardless, we had a great da y and even JB got out for a change. Carlos Martell is now ready to build himself a track bike for the next time out. We discussed the design thi s morning, now that he has had an opportunity to ride a 650C track machi ne. That's the call.

So, thanks again to Sterling for gettibng us all out on the track and th en stuffing our faces with major good foodstuffs. I'm talking even ice c ream/browine sundaes for dessert. Work it off, put it back on! That's ou r motto.

I think John Waner will have some good photos sooner or later.
